FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do you handle unexpected issues during the renovation process?

Whether it's an issue with your existing home that could not have been forseen, or an addition to the plan, these things come up on almost every project. We strive to inform you of all possible contingencies when planning, though sometimes the work previously done in your home is non-standard, and extra work is required to get to where we need to be. These are added to the contract as required to complete the job. Sometimes smaller issues can be taken care of without any extra expense, but the most important thing is knowing what to expect.

  • Can I speak with your previous clients?

Of course. We can provide you with the contact information of our previous clients as requested.

  • What's included in my warranty? How long is it?

Our standard warranty is 2 years and covers our workmanship and materials that we provide. If you provide materials instead of purchasing through us only the installation is covered.

Tile installations using eligble materials are covered by a lifetime warranty.

  • What steps do you take to minimize disruption and protect my existing home?

We work with you to create a plan and make sure we're all on the same page before the job begins. we discuss the potential hazards of the job, taking into account any special considerations your situation may present. Floor coverings and dust barriers are our first step before any work begins. Our small crew respects your home and your health.

  • How do you ensure quality workmanship in today's labour environment?

All of our installations are performed by the same trusted installer. We only use licensed sub trades and in most cases directly supervise all sub trades. You're guaranteed professional workmanship when you work with us.

  • Can I provide my own materials?

Depending on the scope of work you may be able to provide your own materials. You are then responisble for the quality of materials supplied and any warranty they carry. We do not install rough construction materials supplied by others. We do not tile over existing prep-work.
